Job Description: Your position on the team: McLemore Luong is looking for an Interior Designer/Architect Design Professional who is ready to advance their career and achieve full licensure. You will be an integral part of our diverse team in Houston and hone your skills as you become a fully licensed Architect. You will be included in generating design and concept work while teaching you the ins and outs of how buildings are actualized. We gather as a complete team around our studio to take whiteboard sketches to production documents using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape along the way. In addition, you will have a dedicated one-on-one mentorship with our principals and senior associates, who have over 70 years of combined experience and are invested in your future development. How you’ll start your career: • Work with our team to design and produce documents for projects ranging from highrise multi-family to community centers and municipal buildings. • Get exposure to our marketing department and help generate content for our social media platforms. • Create production documents in Revit to learn the craft of Architecture and design, from site plans to details. • Participate in firm-wide learning activities to expand your knowledge of Architecture and/or Interior Design. • Travel to and walk the job sites under construction to learn relevant field experience crucial to the design process after pencils are down. • Log critical design experience hours towards your NCARB licensure requirements. We will help you get set up if this is your first year. What you need to have: • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Architecture degree from an NCARB accredited program • Have a working knowledge of the software required to create Architecture and Interior Design • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination card • U.S. Citizenship A few other thoughts for applicants: • You must submit a resume and full portfolio in PDF format to careers@mclemoreluong.com. What we are offering: We practice pay transparency and equality in the workplace. With that in mind, the starting salary for this position is $58,000.
