Awards and Latest News The McLeish family had a personal celebration on the 10th of November with the marriage of there daughter Jessica to Paul Bilich. It was a fantastic celebration at the family vineyard with glorious food and wine. We wish all the best to the happy couple into the future.

The annual Semsational Vintage Wine Dinner is a highly anticipated event for Wine Partners and Wine Lovers. The 2019 Vintage Wine Dinner will showcase the outstanding current McLeish Semillon and aged Cellar Reserve Semillon’ from very limited quantities.

This years event will take place at Paymasters Restaurant Newcastle, it is a little haven, located on the Foreshore Park, overlooking the picturesque Newcastle Harbour. 2019 Vintage Festival – #vintage2019 Summer Celebrations Saturday 16th of March UnWINEd at Vine to the Glass (VTG) on the lawns at McLeish Estate Winery. As we celebrate the Vintage of 2019. Gather your friends and family for live music, grape stomping and gourmet delights throughout the day. This annual celebration is a MUST for Wine Partners who enjoy getting there hands dirty and having fun (all with a glass of McLeish Wine in hand). Summer Wine Partners Selection McLeish Semillon 2018 Pale golden with green tinges, with complex lemon flower, fragrant hints of tropical passionfruit and green apple. The palate delivers a lively fresh citrus palate with ripe tropical fruit flavours. A pristine line of fine lime, lemon peel freshness. The mouth – watering acidity provides length of flavour on the palate. McLeish Verdelho 2017 Tropical aromas of pineapple, passionfruit, guava and citrus. These tropical flavours provide a luscious mouth feel, balanced with a vibrant line of citrus fruit leading to a refreshing crisp finish. PERFECT PAIRING: Spicy Thai Chicken, Alfresco dining

Mcleish Semillon / Chardonnay 2017 The blend of Semillon (55%) and Chardonnay (45%) brings together two classic Australian varietals. With the fresh citrus and grassy aromas of Semillon perfectly complimenting the rich peach and rockmelon flavours of Chardonnay. The wine encompasses citrus, nectarine, white peach and herbaceous lifted grassy aromatics contributing to the wines aromatic freshness. While the palate delivers a balanced lively and intense citrus line with vanilla and herbal spice to the fore. PERFECT PAIRING: White meats, seafood’s and Risotto’s

Tri Moir 2016 “Three Excellent Companions” Shiraz (48%), Merlot (47%) & Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). Juby, juicy and fresh. This is the perfect red for summer. With a crimson purple colour precedes the richness in the taste. The McLeish Estate Tri Moir displays a vibrant combination of ripe blackberry, mocha & fruit cake. Serve at room temperature ( ideally 16°C) or slightly chilled. PERFECT PAIRING: Roast Chicken, grilled salmon, pork belly or fried calamari

McLeish Cabernet Sauvignon / Shiraz 2016 Fondly known as ‘The Great Australian Red’ McLeish Estate 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz is a unique Australian blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon (traditional Bordeaux varietal) and 20% Shiraz (traditional Rhone varietal). The blend exhibits vibrant currants and cranberry aromas. Rich layered, black cherry fruit with underlying earthiness. cedar and leafy herbs completes the structure. Long and persistent, with a fine tannin and impeccable balance. PERFECT PAIRING: Tomato pasta dishes, venison, aged rib eye and Cheeses, ideally Saint Agur.

McLeish Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 The aromas are highly perfumed violet and wild berries entwine with leafy notes, clove and soy. The palate is gentle and harmonious. Classic black forest fruits layer with savoury licorice and black olive, with the hallmark fresh medium bodied tannin sensations - creating complexity and opulence.

PERFECT PAIRING: Braised beef, moussaka, lamb and roasted mushrooms
