Corporate Spring 2018 Group Project Physical Model AutoCAD Photoshop

comrade & co. project overview
Working with others in an interactive environment is more enjoyable than working alone. Comrade & Co. is a co-working environment in San Francisco, California. It is a place where individuals who work from home, or who are traveling for a short period of time, can rent a desk in the space so they can still experience the benefits of working in an office setting. Our requirements were to create a physical 3-D model in 1"=1'-0" scale.
the concept
A co-working office brings in many people from a variety of professions. Because of this, we wanted our design to focus on embracing diversity and bringing people, from all backgrounds, to work together in an energizing and interactive environment.
Laser Cutting
08
For most of the furniture and stair railing, we made the files in CAD and then used the laser cutter to ensure our pieces would be to the proper scale. To save time while modeling, we made our furniture pieces fit like a puzzle which made them easier to put together and to be more sturdy.

comrade & co. Place attachment
By adding the 'meet your fellow comrades' wall, it created a sense of place for the users. This personal touch allows the users to grow an emotional attachment to the space.

murals One of my roles for this project was to create the murals on the walls. By utilizing photoshop and sticking with bright colors, I was able to continue the overall vibrant and playful feeling of the space.

Retail Spring 2018 Group Project SketchUp AutoCAD Photoshop
13
lisztomania project overview
The goal of this project was to create a retail space based off the site analysis of an existing building. My partner and I chose to create a vinyl record store next to a coffee shop located in a renovated garage in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
design concept
Our intent with this design was to keep the historic feel of Guthrie and to take advantage of the architecture elements that already exist in the garage. To create a comfortable and intimate experience for the end user, we tried to balance the industrial elements of the garage with natural elements. To help achieve this balance, we focused on natural materials, added texture, natural light, and a mix of vintage and modern furnishings.

aurora residence project overview
For this residential project, our group was assigned to design a house based off a predetermined client profile. Sharon, 61, and Cheryl, 69 are two friends from Alaska, both unmarried with no kids wanting to build a home in Aurora, Colorado. Sharon suffers from PTSD and both Sharon and Cheryl have cataracts. They wanted a home that has plenty of room for entertaining and a room specifically designed for their pets.
design concept
Our goal was to create a space with an open and relaxing environment that helps reduce the stress of two individuals with PTSD, and also accommodate their physical disabilities. Inspired by their Alaskan roots, we are designing a home that is inspired by the soft, and fluid shapes of the Northern Lights.
Integrating Inspiration
26
We wanted to incorporate subtle designs that mimick the Northern Lights. To do this we used as much natural light as we could, including skylights. We also used angled walls, a curved ceiling design, materials with organic and fluid shapes like marble, and organic shaped details.

America’s Largest Homecoming Celebration
From February to October in 2018, I had the privilege of serving as the head creative homecoming director for my sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. We paired with a fraternity and spent February to July planning and designing our “house decoration, a 60 foot by 15 foot art installation for part of the homecoming competition. In August, we started the construction phase and I spent the next two months managing over 300 students until we completed our house decoration at the end of October. I was also responsible for designing and painting a 7 foot by 11 foot wooden sign for the sign portion of the competition.
