ACROSS THE OCEAN STATE

The Body as the Doorway

A

s a spiritual companion, Dream-

yoga therapist, Karen Moore Holliday focuses on building the capacity to listen, translate and move or shift energy patterns. Gaining mastery of our energetic patterns and experiences moves us to the very core of who and what we are—our own unique energetic signature for this lifetime. Whether Karen Moore Holliday working with individuals, in groups or through the courses, the central theme in whatever she teaches is energy, with the body as the messenger and energy as the language. “Everything is energy,” she says. “We are energy beings vibrating through this physical body. We are having energy experiences all of the time. We experience them through the body, then frame and name them through our own ‘lifeilluminating, depending on how we track and translate our energetic experiences. We come into this life with our own unique energetic signature. Our responsibility then is to uncover, sort out and discover who and what that is.” Holliday offers individual sessions in Little Compton, Rhode Island, as well as classes and course offerings in Westport, Massachusetts at the Sisters of Solace Holistic Center. Upcoming events include DreamWeaving: Living Your Dreams Journey II: Removing Obstacles. Ongoing yoga classes are held at the Westport Central Village Grange on Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 to 9:30 a.m. Community yoga takes place the second Sunday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with local teachers, by donation.
