PROFESSIONALISM

The notion of professionalism relates, needless to say, with the profession. The profession is a type of job legitimately acquired by a person after a career of study or work as it provides the skills, knowledge and skills specific to the chosen activity. The attitude of professionalism, to act as a professional means that when exercising or activity that task, the person performs according to the parameters established specifically for it as well according to moral behavior and general parameters.

The term professionalism is used to describe all those practices, behaviors and attitudes that are governed by the established rules of respect, restraint, objectivity and effectiveness of the activity carried out. Professionalism is the direct result of being a professional, an individual having a particular profession and exercise it according to the guidelines established for the same socially. Patterns of professionalism can be very varied and range from physical appearance and aspects (such as clothing) to moral and ethical attitudes (such as the line of duty in any situation and reality).


ETHICS In every area of our life we acquire rights and obligations, I can contract them naturally or by the acceptance of a contract or regulation, having on one side to the Explicit Rules consist of laws or written regulations issued and promulgated by an authority in a particular field, while on the other hand we Implicit Rules revolve around the customs which point to a coexistence or Social Welfare of a particular group.

Ethics, being closely linked to the Ethics, which is the establishment of a customs or rules that do not necessarily, must be enacted by a registered agency (who shall control the Professional Activity) but simply uses are given in the Field occupational we have chosen for our lives.

CODE OF ETHICS OF THE ENGINEER IN VENEZUELA There is hardly a branch of human activity in which, at least, some of the engineering professions not intervene, and these more than any other professionals, have a great responsibility to society. Therefore, the social responsibility of the engineer, due to the common good putting loyalty to the client or to the company. The interest of the community, should prevail in conflict with the interests of the client or who served with the company for which they work. The greatest responsibility of every engineer, lies in being useful to society. In this sense, ethics must keep it in mind every engineer in the development of their profession, and should not rely on codes of ethics only after something has been overlooked or gone wrong. This is how , engineering students need to reflect on the content of codes of ethics, as well as studying real cases provide a useful preparation for dealing with ethical issues that could be faced once assume engineering practice . Based on this need for future engineers, engineering programs should introduce students to the ethical concerns to think about ethical issues before things can go wrong. In essence, you must perform a focus on preventive ethics, which is much like preventive medicine that one does not wait until something is wrong, but take the necessary measures in advance to prevent an unwanted situation. Due to the importance of everything mentioned above, that is why later in this work, is exposed as a fundamental goal, highlight the ethical responsibility of professional engineering
