Make Mayflowers You will need:  Coloured Paper (Flower 12x12 cm)  Coloured Paper (Stem & Leaf 15x15 cm)  Scissors

Have-a-go at making paper origami Mayflowers

Firstly, take your coloured 12x12cm piece of paper

Then fold in half into a triangle shape‌

‌ and re-open.

‌ and fold in half again

Turn the paper around‌

Then fold start to fold upwards on one side

… then press down

Keep folding upwards…

Your flower should now look like this‌

Do the same on the other side

Now turn your flower over

‌ and the same on the other side

Fold inwards‌

Now turn your flower back to the front

Now take your other piece of 15x15cm coloured paper

You’ve now completed your flower petals!

Fold it in half, into a triangle shape

Then re-open and turn until it’s diamond shaped

Press down and score the edge with your hand

Fold one side, in a triangle shape into the middle

Turn your piece of paper around

Repeat on the other side

Fold one half inwards

It should now look like this‌

Repeat on the other side

Turn your piece of paper around

‌ and repeat on other side

It should now look like this Fold inwards on one side again‌

..until it’s flat

Now fold together...

Then turn over piece of paper to this side

‌until your stem and leaf look like this

Fold in half‌ You should now have your flower and stem!

You now need to cut a small hole at the bottom of the flower…

…like so! You’ll now need your scissors

Now slot the stem into the bottom of the flower through the small hole you’ve just cut.

Your Mayflower should now look this…
