The LaserTRACER-NG was developed for calibration, monitoring and accuracy enhancement of measuring machines and machine tools. It is a self-tracking laser interferometer that automatically tracks a reflector, and hence allows for the identification of geometrical deviations with highest precision.

Circumferential backlash measuring instruments (variable 3-disc indicating gauges) IVD / AVD measure the actual circumferential backlash in relation to the tolerance limit max. effective / min. effective. Circumferential backlash measuring instruments are therefore fully toothed. The instrument is adjusted by means of a setting plug or a setting ring. There is no standard method of inspecting the circumferential backlash – it is specified in standards ANSI B92.1 and ISO 4156 as a special inspection method. Composite no go gauges are the basis for circumferential backlash. They are listed in these two standards as special inspection methods „Alternate A“ and „Alternate B“. Circumferential backlash measuring instruments can be used instead of composite no go gauges.

Double Flank Gear Roll Inspection Machines The simple functional inspection

Advantages of FRENCO’s double flank gear roll inspection machines: • Stable machines for the shop floor use. • Customer-specific design: The machines are perfectly adjusted to the specimen to be measured and to the conditions of measurement. • The measuring force is infinitely variable. • Rapid lift-off of the measurement carriage. • Using non-rotating tips and mounting mandrels, the runout deviation is kept low. • Special master gear pair for calibration. • With the evaluation software ‘FGI pro’ being in-house developed, quick support is available should any issues arise. • The master gears are manufactured in-house at FRENCO in Altdorf, Germany. • On request, we can upgrade older double flank gear roll inspection machines with FRENCO meas-urement electronics and the FGI evaluation software.
