Content RAC Novi Sad RAC Pancevo RAC Beograd-Dedinje

Living in a community with other people seems to be both a blessing and a hindrance. A blessing in the sense we can always learn and grow from tapping into the experiences and knowledge of others. We become better employees, friends, lovers and people when we can share what we have learned and are open to new ideas and suggestions for improvements, no matter what happened to lose, as Paolo Cuello said „Cuando quieres realmente una cosa, todo el Universo conspira para ayudarte a conseguirla “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” (The Alchemist). If you want to find out the formula of success, you should read the Newsleter to the last page. Hope enjoy it.

Rotaract Club PanÄ?evo took part in the Mapability project, as it was suggested by Rotaract Club Pavia, and we decided to support this immensely meaningful project and to provide our city with a platform which would enable people, who are challenged when it comes to their mobility, to move more easily. The project itself requires identifying all factors and obstacles within all the walking routes in the urban area and making a register of these obstacles, with the end goal of making this data available to the future users. Thus a user is enabled to oversee a certain area he may wish to visit or use, in advance, and is enabled to reach decisions accordingly and based on information on access quality, all barriers and their factors needed to be taken into account which are important when moving across a certain distance. We were presented with this idea by our friends from Pavia, and were invited to join the project an their first international partners, and we began these activities in September 2011.
