My Dog’s Surgery Max Sheng It all started with my glowing ball. The ball had batteries and light in it then a few minutes later, I left the ball on the sofa then went to the toilet. That is when I heard my dad scream! “COMEBACKHERE!DROPTHE BALL!” I hurried and got out of the toilet. My dad was chasing my Labrador, Spiffy. When I noticed the ball wasn’t in his mouth, I was worried. I looked all over the house and it wasn’t even under the sofa. The whole family panics, especially Anna my sister… “We’ll take him to the emergency vet. Max and Anna stay home.” My dad said in a shaky voice. We were all worried. We stayed home. Anna and I were crying while spiffy was gone. When my dad and mom came home we had very bad news. They told my sister and me that in the dogs body there is a melting system. So if this system melts the acid in the batteries, he may die. We were satisfied with this news. But it wasn’t only that. To make Spiffy live we had to cut his stomach than take it out. The thing was if it
fails it might affect his life. We were heartbroken he had surgery. He didn’t come home for a few weeks. The family was quiet. Finally spiffy came home. Our family came together again.
