The Financial Management for Non-financial Managers Programme is designed to provide nonfinancial managers with more advanced understanding, knowledge and skills in respect of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, the time value of money and the basics of capital budgeting. This will help participants to understand the drivers of capital decisionmaking and project evaluation. They will also gain a better understanding of the impact of operating decisions on the financial health of the business..

This Seminar is aimed at middle to senior managers from disciplines other than finance who wish to understand financial management principles and concepts and how they are put to use in businesses of all sizes. The course explains the fundamentals of finance with the assumption of basic numeracy skills and provides a good understanding of standard financial statements and operational messages that can be derived from them. It then examines financial and performance ratios, the applications of sales pricing, costing, interest and borrowings, taxation, investment, performance measurements, risk mitigation and hedge fund operations. In Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers, you'll learn the essentials of finance and accounting, including financial reporting, cost management, performance management and capital expenditures, then go back to work with the ability to manage your own bottom line.

Analyze and interpret financial information and reports, including cash flow statements and business unit portfolio. Review typical models of cost allocation among units, products and services and spot how those models can be improved. Make data-driven comparisons between the performances of business sectors. Pinpoint areas for cost savings across your organization. Fit key financial concepts into your corporate strategy. Perform basic financial analyses to inform your day-to-day operations. Understand the basic principles, terminology and building blocks of financial control; Understand the main financial statements, how they relate to one another and how they can be manipulated as useful management data; Appreciate budgeting as a planning and control too; Recognise different types of cost and how costs can be controlled; Differentiate between cash flow, profit and net worth; Appreciate the financial implications of plans and decisions.

Experienced finance trainer. He has provided training to thousands of managers in hundreds of major companies.
