Brimming with purpose and vision, the support and encouragement that the firstever Manila Food and Wine Festival (MFWF) garnered just added luster to its well-deserved triumph. MFWF highlights the solid competence of the Philippine cuisine at par with the global culinary arena. It showcases not only the food but also the camaraderie found in the local scene and the culture imbibed in every cooking tradition and practice. The Culinary Education Foundation (CEF) spearheaded this event with the Department of Tourism: It’s More Fun in the Philippines together with their willful sponsors and media partners. The 4-day event kicked off last Friday, February 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds. Setting not only their skillets but also the stage on fire, the Top 6 Pinoy Celebrity Chefs engaged in a friendly competition for the Food Truck Cook-Off. Each truck featured uniquely interesting food items and entertaining aesthetics as well.
