Task 3: • Still referring to the case study of Mr Potter:  List what rights we have as individuals in relation to health and social care Question: a) If Mr Potter had previously disclosed that he did not want a blood transfusion to the Drs (and signed a document to this effect) and he received one as he was unconscious on arrival – are his rights being broken? Why? Which ones? b) What about if he is not given a blood transfusion? Are any of his rights being broken now? c)

What is the Care Value Base?

d) How could it have been used in the case of Mr Potter? Give positive and negative examples.
