Overview Frederick’s restaurant in Islington has been an Islington dining institution since 1969. The space that the restaurant offers for corporate dining and events is simply unique.

The Clarence Room Seats up to 32 and cocktails up to 50

Our food and wine list is highly acclaimed and our service is everything you would expect from a family run establishment. We can tailor the food and drink menus specifically to your event’s requirement. We also have a dedicated team that can help plan and manage and execute your event seamlessly and without stress.

The Club Room Seats up to 45 and cocktails up to 60

The Garden Room Seats up to 70 and cocktails for 100 The Restaurant Seats up to 140 and cocktails for 250


The Club Room

Description Launched in 2013, this contemporary private room with its own bar and terrace overlooks the garden. The Club Room is slightly elevated and has enormous glass sliding doors allowing access to its private terrace overlooking the garden. The walls are leather glad, with photography on the walls, and the furnishings are completely flexible so that they can suit any event.

The Club Room is fully equipped with a 75 inch plasma screen, internet access and state of the art audio system, it has its own loo and cloakroom. Capacity The room can seat from 15 to 40 guests or up to 60 standing – this does not include the terrace which during Summer months can hold a further 40.

The Clarence Room

The Clarence Room, located on the first floor is a private, more traditional space. Wellsuited for corporate or private parties the room has its own cloakroom, 50 inch internet ready TV, sound system and private toilet facilities.

This Clarence room allows for a number of different configurations. These can include a large oval table for 20 guests, 2 to 4 individual tables up to 30 guests, a presentation for up to 40 seated guests and a standing cocktail/reception party for 60 guests.

The Garden Room

The largest of our rooms is the Garden Room with its abundance of natural daylight. This space works well for larger meetings or receptions. It has full access to the garden and can include the patio, which has a small bar of its own and where you can have an al fresco reception as part of your event.

The Garden Room can accommodate 50 guests on round tables, or up to 80 guests on long tables or 100 for a reception. A further 30 to 40 guests can be accommodated if the patio is used during the summer months.

The Restaurant

Larger parties can hire the whole restaurant depending on the day of the week,. This would give you access to all of the restaurant’s spaces. By day, perhaps to have different break out groups, or TV presentations in separate spaces. Of an evening a reception or presentation followed by a sit-down dinner.

Up to 120 on long tables, with a further 40 in The Club Room, or up to 250.

Food and Drink

We are highly rated by all of the food guides, and we serve to the same standard for large parties.

With a range of popular dishes going back over the decades we are sure to have the right menu for you. Everything can be tailored to suit the pitch of your event, whether it’s a longer reception or an additional cheese course. Simply let us know what type of event you are hosting, and your budget, and we will provide you with some recommendations and a cost.

The wine list is extensive, offering a broad range as well as some keen prices. Our Cocktails can also get the party lively from early on.
