This role owns the top of the funnel, grows market presence in priority Northern California geographies, and creates tight alignment with estimating so Odyssey becomes the preferred partner early in every budgeting and bid cycle. This position is intentionally structured with a clear 3–5 year trajectory toward VP of Sales (Sales + Estimating) as systems, pipeline, and team scale.

What You’ll Do

Build market density across Sacramento, Elk Grove, Roseville, Davis, Rancho Cordova, and Galt; expand into the East Bay as footholds solidify.

Drive proactive “hunter” outreach with general contractors, developers, and land-development leaders to create early visibility before projects hit bid stage.

Own the budget phase, partnering closely with estimating to deliver fast, accurate early pricing that positions Odyssey as a go-to partner.

Manage pipeline health, maintaining a dependable, risk-balanced book of business that avoids seasonal dips and ensures consistent revenue flow.

Strengthen cross-functional handoffs with Estimating and Operations to ensure what we win, we deliver—and grow preferred-vendor relationships.

Lay the foundation for a scalable sales team, including the early hiring of a business developer as pipeline expands.

What Success Looks Like

90 Days: Territory plan deployed, 50–100 warm targets identified, early budget conversations underway.

What You Bring

8–15+ years selling or estimating commercial landscape construction for a GC or large trade partner.

Proven hunter with strong Central Valley / Sacramento relationships.

Skilled in early budgeting, scoping, and consultative development with civil/architect teams.
