Kohei Yatsumoto: Ferrostaal is our Sales and Service partner for more than ten years in Latin America, Southern Africa and Arabia since 2010. Due to the successful cooperation with Ferrostaal, we decided to expand this co-operation with other countries like Turkey, Germany, Russia, Poland etc. Ferrostaal Group is the best distributor for us.

Türkiye pazarından sonuç almak için ne kadar beklemeyi göze aldınız? Kohei Yatsumoto: Felsefemiz Ferrostaal ile Türkiye’de aynı Latin Amerika’da olduğu gibi uzun süreli bir ortaklık yapmak. Bu tabii ki performansa bağlı bir şey ama Ferrostaal Türkiye ve Ryobi’nin yakın gelecekte hiç de azımsanmayacak bir pazar payı elde edeceğinden eminiz. Türkiye pazarından beklentileriniz nelerdir? Kohei Yatsumoto: Türkiye pazarı Ryobi için çok önemli. Türkiye, Avrupa’da yükselişte olan ve istikrarlı büyüyen nadir ekonomiler arasında. Rekabetçi ürünlerimiz ve üstün teknolojimiz sayesinde ilk başarımızı çok yakında elde edeceğimizden hiç şüphemiz yok. Ryobi ve Mitsubishi işbirliği hakkında neler söyleyeceksiniz? Kohei Yatsumoto: Mitsubishi ile resmi olarak bir sözleşme imzaladığımızı henüz duyurduk. Ve önümüzdeki yıldan itibaren başlamak üzere Mitsubishi ile birlikte yeni bir firma kuracağız. Avrupa’daki diğer matbaalar geniş formata ve daha farklı uygulamalara ağırlık veriyor. Ryobi’nin de Avrupa pazarında geniş formatla bulunduğunu biliyoruz. Sizin açınızdan gelecek nedir? Kohei Yatsumoto: Mitsubishi ile yaptığımız ortaklık nedeniyle şu anda geniş formatı düşünmüyoruz. Bizce gelecekte dijital baskının çok büyük ve önemli bir rolü olacak. Tam da bu nedenle Miyakoshi ile Ryobi markası altında dijital matbaa üretimi yapacağımız bir ortaklık başlattık. Bu kişiye özel baskı, B2 boyutunda ve hızı da 6000’e kadar çıkabiliyor. What about your new cooperation with Ferrostaal in Turkey? Kohei Yatsumoto: We just started with Ferrostaal this year. This may be a little bit early to say but we are confident to receive some positive results from Ferrostaal Turkey very soon. We see the Turkish market as a growing and very important but competitive market. How much time do you consider waiting till you get results from Turkish market? Kohei Yatsumoto: Our philosophy is to have a long term partnership in Turkey with Ferrostaal like in the Latin America. Of course this is based on performance but we are confident that Ferrostaal Turkey and Ryobi will gain substantial market share in the near future. What are your expectations from Turkish market? Kohei Yatsumoto: The Turkish Market is very important for Ryobi. Turkey is one of the few economies in Europe that are booming and has a sustainable growth. Due to the competitive products and superb technology we are convinced that we will have very soon first success. What would you say about the cooperation between Ryobi and Mitsubishi? Kohei Yatsumoto: We have just announced that we officially engaged with Mitsubishi. And we are going to start a new company with Mitsubishi starting from next year. Other printing presses in Europe focus on large formats and different inline applications. We know that Ryobi is in the European market with large format. What is the future for you? Kohei Yatsumoto: Because of cooperation with Mitsubishi we are not considering large format for the moment. For us, in future digital printing will have a major role. This is why we have initiated cooperation with Miyakoshi where we will manufacture digital presses un-

der Ryobi brand. This is the personalization press, B2 size, its speed is up to 6000. However, offset printing will dominate the printing industry for the mid-term future… Inline chemical embossing, die cutting, LED UV technology is the competitive edge of Ryobi and can be only realized economically in sheet fed offset. LED UV is the very trend which is cost saving, environmental friendly press. So, this is the future… Main problem for LED is the cost of ink in LED. What would you like to say about this? Kohei Yatsumoto: In Japan we have already sold more than 70 machines with LED UV technology. Due to the increased demand of LED UV ink also this market has become more competitive. If we look at the total cost of ink at the print houses, the cost of paper is much more important. The cost of ink is in very small portions. By using LED UV, the energy consumption will reduce, this is much more important. What do you offer to Turkish printers as Ryobi? Kohei Yatsumoto: It is our objective to increase the market share in the A 1 size market with our flagship Ryobi 920. This means they can print 16 pages for a normal magazine in perfecting modus which is very economical. It is understood that you do not focus on packaging industry. Is this true? Kohei Yatsumoto: With our Ryobi 920 and 760/50 series we print up to 0.6mm which is sufficient for the majority of commercial and packaging jobs. In addition we have we have our Ryobi 1050, 40 inch press which is a dedicated press for high volume cardboard printers. The cooperation with Mitsubishi will further strengthen our portfolio. Would you like to add any comment about Ryobi’s Turkish market share? Murat Büyükgünay: I can proudly say that we will increase the market share of Ryobi in Turkey. We will change the perception of customers with the help of Ryobi. We will show the customers the advantages of Ryobi machines. Our customers trust us and we are very confident that we will start with the sales of the Ryobi machines in Turkish market. We will increase the share of Ryobi Turkey for sure. Specifically, which markets will Ryobi focus in Turkey? Medium size or 64*90 or large format?
