"This large exterior had several elements to work with in terms of finishes and materials. We knew we wanted to incorporate the Windswept material and in the end it came down to choosing the perfect color to flow with the rest of the exterior finishes. Glen, with Windswept Weathered Wood, was able to provide us with large samples so we could make the final color selection. I am pleased with the architectural element the Windswept product adds to this beautiful modern lodge custom home."

DRAGER ARCHITECTURE What a great opportunity to work with wonderful clients. Jim Tsang of Innova Architects created a design for the clients and asked that I work with him to develop the house for construction. Our expertise in custom home design and great small team equipped us to more efficiently work out the technical details for permitting and construction. We were able to work with Dan Martin and Stefanie Brooks to bring together an amazing interior of custom wood beams, Montana stone and steel stairs and railings. The home has a wonderful Pacific Northwest lodge feel. Everything is substantial and timeless. I am sure that our clients will have decades of wonderful memories. Daniel Martin Construction “We were building a multi-million dollar home and were looking for a unique siding material and happened across Windswept Weathered Wood. After Glen took myself and my client to several sites that he had sold we were convinced that this was the product we were looking for. Glen is one of the finest professionals in the business I have come across in the forty years we have been in business. He not only represents Windswept Weathered Wood but also other unique products that are hard to find. I would recommend Glen to anyone who is looking for a supplier who has integrity, ethics and will go to great lengths to satisfy both builder and customer.”

WINDSWEPT WEATHERED WOOD I first became involved in the project around the 1-1/2 year mark after meeting w Daniel Martin Construction, Bret Drager Architect along with the home owners. We met at a previous single-family home construction in Gig Harbor, WA that, also utilized our Windswept Weathered Wood in the Prairie color as well. It was a match made in heaven for both clients, thus the saga began! I recall stepping onto the job site for the first time; construction had been framed out to the point where the siding element was the next exterior agenda item to be installed. Careful consideration by Daniel Martin Construction (DMC) at every level was researched and discussed to achieve the final appearance desired. DMC incorporated colored screws as the fastener as the ideal choice for this project. Once installation of the Windswept siding began was the moment when the exterior of the construction truly took on a life of its own. Thus complimenting perfectly with the stone and dark, rich colors of the Douglas fir timbers, etc. The home owners were very hands on throughout the project, so every detail and nuance was paid special attention for just the right ethos and desired appearance. I would actually create opportunities to visit the job site just to be a part of something so remarkable within our regional geography alongside the architectural and design community as something uniquely remarkable~

WINDSWEPT WEATHERED WOOD We have helped to generate a new category of environmental sustainability in that we claim unused, unwanted virgin standing dead (or dying) timber that otherwise would be carbon released into the atmosphere. Windswept adds style, sophistication and practicality to what designers have long called for ~ a reclaimed appearance with the stability and structural integrity of new wood backed by industry associations, and at nearly half the investment of reclaimed woods with near zero waste. This combined with our warm Eco-Story allows a fresh environmental chronicle. As the director of business development for Windswept North America, please feel free to contact me directly as I will assist you personally. Let's connect to discuss the scope of your project, please reply once you have received our care package so we can discuss in greater detail.

Conclusion“If you value integrity and can grasp even a percentage of the magnitude and detail as contributed by all the exceptional participants- one can then begin to realize the death and magic of this remarkable, one of a kind ‘Lakeside Luxury’ residence.”
