New service shows authors how to market an ebook for free Dahlia Valentine helps ebook authors achieve their marketing goals by providing a customized list of marketing resources.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 15, 2011 ) Philadelphia, PA -- Author and blogger Dahlia Valentine recently launched a marketing service to help authors market their ebooks for free. The cost for her service? $5 and four days. Valentine launched the ebook marketing service through gig website Fiverr, where all services, regardless of vendor, are $5. “Many authors believe if they get their ebook on Amazon or Barnes and Noble sales will automatically start pouring in,” said Valentine. “This isn’t always the case. The best way to get sales from online bookstores is to get the ball rolling through your own marketing efforts. Once you start generating sales the bookstores automatically ramp up their marketing efforts for your title.” Valentine is no stranger to the world of ebook marketing. She’s the author of “Creating E-books that are Impulse Buyer Magnets,” a 189 page PDF that gives both new and established writers ideas for developing, formatting and promoting ebooks. On Fiverr, where she’s known as “ResearchThat,” Valentine provides a list of 10 websites where the buyer can promote their ebook at no cost. Each list is custom built according to the type of ebook being promoted, so no two lists are exactly the same. According to Valentine, a list may contain websites where authors can submit excerpts from their ebook or sites where they can become guest bloggers. She also lists genre-focused discussion boards and ebook announcement websites. In each case, buyers will receive written instructions on how to best use the websites to promote their ebooks. “Authors often readily admit that they love to write but can’t stand the marketing part,” Valentine said. Although my services are do-it-yourself based, they’re inexpensive and they practically eliminate any additional research an author would have to undertake. I’d love for buyers to come back and tell me that they sold thousands of books because of my $5 list.” About Dahlia Valentine: Dahlia Valentine is an author and a blogger at That Internet Marketing Thing, where she covers strategies that enable entrepreneurs and experts to make money online.
