Decatur student massage gone horribly wrong A decatur woman is suing a student therapist for touching her breast in May.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 24, 2011 ) Decatur, IL -- A student therapist at the Decatur Institute is being sued by a woman for touching her breast during a massage. Channel 2 Action News was told by Sonya Smith that the student therapist Jamall Young and American Professional Institute was negligent for allowing the massage to get to this point in May. Smith said. “The worst part is that it happened." “The other part is that I will never be able to forget it.” Full time student and mother, Smith. Had been gifted the massage with a certificate when 15 minutes into the massage Young said her breast had been handled. Smith told Channel 2 Actions News: “I think, initially, I was in shock because I kind of shook my head and was like, ‘What just happened?’” Smith said she pushed away Young then proceeded to report what happened to school officials and the police. The police in Decatur PD said that Young admitted to the incident and later entered a guilty plea to 1 count of sexual battery. Smith’s attorney, S.K. Rod Dixon said “They were negligent in hiring him, in supervising him and in allowing this to occur,” and “He stole her body. He stole her spirit.” The American Professional Institute provides training for a variety of careers, including massage therapy. Channel 2 Action News reporter Eric Philips reached to attorneys for both Young as well as the school. Both said they wouldn't discuss pending litigation. Smith said she wants to empower women “and protect our children against predators.” The attorney to the school would only state that he denies the allegations inside the lawsuit against his client.
