The true story of Syracuse, New York's longest ruling Mayor--Lee Alexander.
The film chronicles the life of a self-made man, who became a political icon. He accomplished monumental tasks for the city he ruled for 16 years, and rose to national prominence. But Lee Alexander was not without human flaws. His arrogance and greed led to a tumultuous downfall, culminating with a criminal conviction and prison sentence for demanding kickback payments from city contractors. In spite of his indiscretions, he experienced forgiveness and reconciliation with the community, the friends who turned on him, and his estranged wife.
