HEAD COACH : Ahmed Dine The Algerian native Ahmed Dine was a natural choice to coach the Desert Hawks. A two time Olympian (1988 Seoul and 1992 Barcelona), Dine lived and boxed out of the Mediterranean town of Bou Ismail which lies just outside Algiers. Following his Olympic adventures, Dine clocked up a professional record of 11-8-2 following the Barcelona Games with his last bout coming in 2003. Taking charge of the Desert Hawks for their inaugural season represented a fantastic coaching opportunity for Dine to truly help shape the future of the sport in his country, and his methods have seen some great home form for his proud boxing nation.
