collaboration 2019 Wisp Architects realized

A functional design and the research of cool materials make this small apartment for a young and creative couple in the north of Milan unique and comfortable. The renovation gives it style and character mixing deep and cool colour, as blue and warm and neutral basic colors, as taupe. The small dimension of the apartment and the lack of usable space was easily solved exploiting equipped wall.

ATTRA\VERSO San Cristoforo

subject year team place

Competion 2019 Wisp Architects, F. Arrigoni 5th place

This is the project of a light bridge system that will connect two areas of Milan separated by the course of the Naviglio and the railway. This bridge aims to connect the city to the Parco Agricolo Sud. We designed a pedestrian and cycle path bridge with only few ground supports, integrated with the lifting systems. The bridge winds between the S. Cristoforo metro station, with the nearby tram and bus stops, and an interchange carpark. The objective is that of an intermodal exchange system capable of merging with the territory and with the existing visual elements, thanks to the particular shape of the walkway. To be noted is the intense greenery provided for the rooftops of the two new buildings, to enhance the connection with the surrounding park. This vegetation above the walkway creates places where to stop and to transform the infrastructure from a simple connection to a space where it is possible also to slow down, stop, refresh and socialize. We wanted to draw a landmark, in harmony with its context. The shape of the bridge aims to remember the recurring structure in many other bridges over the Naviglio and the profile of the mountains on the horizon. A point of union between the urban landscape and the natural landscape

L IV E L LA RT creatività in fabbrica adaptive reuse on an ex factory, Bovisa, Milan subject year coworker professors

Master’s thesis project 2017 Layla Abd El Monem Prof. Nicolò Carlo Maria Riva

For our thesis project we chose to intervene on one of the symbols of the Bovisa industrial Milan manufactures, the ex factory Cristallerie Livellara, which with its tower, symbol of futurist architecture, has become Bovisa’s true point of reference. The features intrinsic to the project area seemed to be perfect to accommodate a multifunctional center that focuses on creativity and artistry. Thesis work had the main purpose formulation of a reuse proposal aware, which let us give a new life to the factory, making it the spaces can accommodate people and activities by offering an important contribution to the Bovisa district. The idea is to create a place where young students, graduates, creative entrepreneurs, creative and coworkers can exchange ideas and knowledge, where the individual is served to get a community service to spread your knowledge is ready to translate any input that it comes from other sources, realities, environments. Access resources, let yourself be inspired by the work of others, generate innovative ideas and establish relationships that are useful to discover new opportunities and new creative inputs. A place where is possible exchange ideas and knowledge, where the individual is willing to come to the service of the community to spread your own knowledge and ready to translate any input that come from other sources, realities, environments.

Architecture of interiors design I 2014/2015 M. Billi, M. Meregalli, A. Tarraga Guillen Prof. G.Postiglione, E. Scaramellini, F. Dolce

Ex Cinema Adriano is one of the many abandoned buildings located in Milan that, in these years, are interested in new projects of intervention of reuse and restauration. Considering the location of the Cinema and the urban analysis of the context he concept of the reuse is meant to be a new space of service to the district. We realized a new square that becomes a new place for social aggregation, exchanges and relationships. The construction of ramps that connect it to the street level make the city enters inside the cinema. There are three principal issues: district center, working community and web radio, and whole of them are connected by the broad space of the new square. The fly tower acquires the role of sounding board of the district with the radio spaces, the reheasal and recording rooms and the bar that spread over various levels defining new urban lounges. In front of it there is a public open space in continuity with the square, the one on the upper levelassumes the character of a more private place where is coworking spaces. As all these spaces overlook and are connected by the central public space and service to the district to make the memory of the ex cinema Adriano live again.

ARSENALE experimental theatre Interior restauration , Via Cesare Correnti, Milan subject year coworker professors

Architecture of Interiors II 2015/ 2016 N. Brancaleon

Prof. P. Salvadeo, C. Rabbiosi, A. Rolando

The project for Arsenale Theatre located in Via Cesare Correnti is inserted in the city of Milan, that longs for become a new cultural metropolis. Its space is shily insert in the dense historical center of the city, barely exposed on the street, clearly connected with his history, when it was us to be a small church. Currently the interior of the theatre is like a black box, exactly what experimental theatre needs. The project wants to give to the theatre the most possible flexibity and utility. The theatre therefore becomes happening, becomes an event, and sees within it a mix of different genres, not closely linked to act of acting, such as music, dance or visual arts, hovering between immediacy of the event and its programming and seeing actors, spectators, objects and architectural elements, referring in detail to our project, become part of the same performance and scene. The project wants to make connections, intersections, movements and assemblages so that it can look to itself in continuity with the city, through a dynamic and non-static approach. The assemblies that make up the space are political, practical, representational, human and non-human elements, and the space itself, which becomes a complex organism.

Giovanni Pascoli secondary school Interior restauration and project for a school , Turin subject year team

Competition 2017 NormaleArchitettura studio, Arnaldo Arnaldi, Chiara Filios

During the compulsory internship of my Master’s program, I had the pleasure to collaborate with the architectural studio Normalerchitettua on a competion. The topic of the comptetion was about the interior restauration of a secundary school based in Turin, Giovanni Pascoli Institute, located in a prestigious old building of XVII century. Currently the building presents many problems, the interior distribution of the students, the principal entrance of the school, really small, and the position of the laboratories rooms. Moreover the insertion of some service that the school currently doesn’t have, like a library, a gym or a spacious hall for the entrance of the school. The approach we used was about to create parallel corridor next to the existent one, really spacious and not used enough; this new corridor gives to the room more space, necessary for the high number of students the school accomodates every year. The corridor are also equiped with light structure, that permit to the students to have private place for study, work together or just relax in the free time. Furthermore new laboratories of art, science and music are equiped for house 30 students. The last floor of the school sees the introduction of the new library, active also in extra scolastic hours.

rethinking landscapes urbanism Interior restauration and project for a school , Turin subject year team

International Workshop 2012 Davide Galli, Milena Meregalli, Marco Morselli, Nicola Perdomi

The Algorithmap international Workshop course, held between May 21-27, 2012 in Palanzano (PR), had the task of carrying out projects in order to recover and value the territory of the municipality of the province of Parma, gorgeous from the point of view of the landscape, but poor from the point of view of the infrastructures. We have been entrusted with the task of dealing with a small fraction of Palanzano, Corniana, composting only 16 homes currently uninhabited. The position overlooking the Knights’ Valley, la Valle dei Cavalieri, giving amazing views, and the proximity to the Palanzano Commune, makes Corniana a potential, at the moment unexplored. We therefore thought about renovating the village, keeping the existing structures of the houses and destined to become a sustainable eco-village where families can stay and enjoy the various services that the village itself would offer, exploiting some homes as commercial spaces of typical Emilian products , elevating the country to become a km 0 project. In addition to exploiting the potential of the village, and the new function of hotel with separate residences, we have exploited a broad adjoining land thinking of planting a vineyard and building a new ipogeous building, not invasive and disturbing for the sinuosity of the hollow curves on which it would have to, which would have the function of own wine production and small tasting room. Also there will be nature-related laboratories that will engage primary schools in activities designed for them.

CENTRO EDUCATIVO SALADINO CORTIZO graphic design, corporative imagine and signage of the Educative Center Saladino Cortizo, Vigo (Spain) subject year professors

Comunicación gráfica en arquitectura 2016 Universidade da Coruña Prof. Maria Ines Pernas Alonso, Carlos Mantiñan Campos

The Special Educational center Saladino Cortizo is a school for childrens with mental disabilities based in Vigo, one of the most important city of the independent region of Galicia, northern Spain. The building was projected by the spanish architect Desiderio Pernas and it’s one of the most important example of the rational architecture of northern Spain. The new logo takes the inspiration from the recognizable and regular shape of the plan of the building, in this way the strong identity of the school is manteined inside the logo. The design is simple and well balanced, reminding a sketch of a child, since the school is dedicated to special children with disabilities. The graphic design project involved also gadget and corporative imagine for documents and objects connected with the school. In this way the simple design of the logo permits to compose patterns used as decoration for gadgets and documents.
