01 RESIDENTIAL BUILDING
name: modular living year: 2014./2015. location: vukomerec, zagreb solo project studio coordinator: dr.sc. ivana ergic, dr.sc. zlatko karac awards: university laudation urbanistic concept: the concept of the settlement is based on the modular arrangement of elements. it is divided into three different zones of purpose; on the north there is a residential zone, inbetween are public green areas and on the south there is a business district. buildings fit within the basic raster (ratio 1:1,5). in reidential part, buildings are grouped two by two sharing common green areas, while the business zone is grouped by three skyscrapers linked to the lower-floor public area. residential building: the flats are two-way oriented which gives the building the possibility to be oriented any way. how space modules fit inside the apartment, so the building itself can stack, rotate, and move to different locations. two buildings share an underground garage that has a direct connection to both buildings, therefore their position closes one park-a “pulic yard. The position and the visuals do not disturb each other, but leave user the choice of desired orientation of the apartment. pairs of buildings are arranged modularly in a 1: 1.5 scale.

MODULARNO SLAGANJE STAN > ZGRADA > NASELJE
KONCEPT NASELJA BAZIRA SE NA MODULARNOM SLAGANJU ELEMENATA. NAKON PRVE PODJELE U TRI RAZLIČI POSTAVLJEN JE RASTER UNUTAR KOJEGA SE SLAŽU ZGRADE. SVAKA ZONA RAZLIKUJE SE KAKO PO SVOJOJ F PO MORFOLOGIJI. OSTVAREA JE JEDNA OSNOVNA JEDINICA ZGRADE S KARAKTERISTIČNIM PRIZEMLJEM GARAŽIRANJEM I ETAŽO TA JEDINICA MULTIPLICIRA SE I TIME DOBIVAMO NOVE TIPOLOGIJE ZGRADA. U GORNJOJ ZONI-STAMBENOJ ORGANIZIRANE SU ZGRADE U PAROVIMA KOJE ZATVRAJU ZAJEDNIČKI JAVNI PA GARAŽU. VISINA U GORNJOJ ZONI JE P+4. U DONJOJ ZONI NASELJA NALAZE SE VIŠLJE ZGRADE MJEŠANE NAMJNE. ZGRADE SU VISINA P+2 I P+8. PR KATA MJEŠOVITE SU NAMJENE DOK SU GORNJI KATOVI STAMBENI. POŠTO SE UZ SAM RUB NASELJA PROTEŽE ZGRADE NASTAVLJAJU NJEN SLIJED I ZATVARAJU NASEL UZ SJEVERNI I JUŽNI RUB NASELJA IPAK SE PROTEŽE ZONA JAVNOG ZELENILA KAKO BI SE NASELJE IZOL I NEUGODNIH MIRISA VOZILA. SJEVER I JUG NASELJA SPAJA GLAVNA SABIRNA CERSTA NA KOJU SE SPAJAJU SLIJEPE STAMBENE ULICE. U SREDIŠNJOJ ZONI NASELJA PROTEŽE SE UREĐENI PERIVOJ JAVNE NAMJENE. ODMAH IZNAD PARKA NA IST U POSREDNOJ BLIZINI POSTOJEĆE ŠKOLE SMJEŠTEN JE VRTIĆ. PRISTUP JE OMOGUĆEN SA ISTOČNE I ZAPA SJEVERNE I JUŽNE PJEŠAČKI. apartment basic sizes: 75m2 / 89m2 / 113m2 / 128m2 size of each apartment depends on the amount of modules that one apartment contains. each resident can arrange it according to his own wishes. The rooms are separated by sliding panels, with only a few stiff walls, so that the arrangement of the apartment can vary on a daily or long-standing basis.
garage plan - building a
the apartments are all double-sided; by connecting two modules of opposite sides you can get a big and bright space. It can also be easily ventilated. the double ventilated facade is controled also by its users. every module has a big glass opening with a sliding panel that can be completely open or hidden in the construction.
building section - building b
The building can be adapted to the urban requirements of a specific area. It can be used as a semi-detached house, a longitudinal row with multiple entrances or even as a skyscraper in highly populated areas. as we arrange modules in the apartment, the whole building can be arranged to form different types.

02 MULTIFUNCTIONAL PAVILION
name: the forest pavilion year: 2014./2015. location: maksimir, zagreb group project studio coordinator: doc.dr.sc. iva muraj, v.pred. zorana protic, asist. andrej markovic, v.pred.mr.sc. ivan cetinic awards: publication in architecture university yearbook, publication in best student projects book context: the pavilion is located on the campus of university of agriculture in zagreb, nearner the forest maksimir. the idea of the project is a reaction on university’s wishes and need for foresting the property of the campus, along with the need for representative space to hold workshops, exhibitions and public presentations. the tree structure served as the main idea for the construction of the building. by multiplying the tree like piers the interior becomes the forest and gives its visitors feeling like they are still outside. the shape of the building is irregular because of our wish to keep the existing trees since they have a big value to the university.

03 OFFICE BUILDING
name: opening the block year: 2015./2016. location: erdodyeva-branimirova-bornina-domagojeva block, zagreb solo project studio coordinator: doc. tin sven franic award: honorable mention university council context: The multifunctional business building project is based on the concept of opening a housing block to connect two larger roads and revive a desolate area. In the centre of the block there is a decorated garden with different public areas. The block is completely opened in such a way that in the north a business building is set up as a bridge over the public space of the urban market and the periphery expands to Branimirova. In the southern zone there is an underground garage. The block closes at night which helps to reduce the noise and provide pieceful life of people in the block.

04 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
name: jaska primary school year: 2015./2016. location: jastrebarsko solo project studio coordinator: v.pred. darko latin context: The idea of elementary school started from problematics of a typical classroom and how to improve the classical form and expand the way of using it. atriums become additional attributes to all the spaces and besides the fact that bring natural light into inside spaces, they also allowe children to spend time outdoor in secure area, under teacher’s surveillance. the classic hallway is replaced with multifunctional interspaces with different character. the classrooms and other spaces are all able to loose its boundaries and the school can transform into one big open space = one big classroom. the school has only one floor, but the addition is a two story sports hall that has an extra entrance on level -1 for guests.

05 URBAN PLANNING
name: business district year: 2015./2016. location: šanci solo project studio coordinator: prof.dr.sc. krunoslav šmit context: zagreb has been rapidly spreading south during second half of 20th century. the part of the city situated across the river sava was named novi zagreb. unlike the old part of zagreb, new one is planned in a specific raster with linear streets and big residential buildings. despite the plan, some parts have been left out and never settled. also the areas along the river haven’t been planned or maintained, which is a real shame since it has hudge potentials. the main idea for šanci district was to brign life into an unused area. since the east part of the city is bussiness oriented, and the south is mainly residental, it would be perfect to combine it all together inbetween. it is also an area of big trafic since the road on the side is one of the leading roads from the airport to the city. the idea was to keep the trafic on the ground level and to elevate the pedestrian parts up from where the skyscrapert with offices and residential appartments would rise. by rising the main areas to +12m we detached the people from trafic as well as enabled better views of the river and the city.
