In recent years, Nokia N9 has given us some amazing hardware but one of the most glorious and fascinating culmination has been in the form of the much anticipated Nokia N9. This phone shows the capability of the new Nokia N9 under Stephen Elop and is able to stand out from the smart phone crowd becauseof its industrial design and a horde of interesting and quirky features. This particular phone has moved on to the long-awaited MeeGoHarmattan software and has shrugged off the aging touch screen-antagonistic Symbian operating software. Being an unmistakable Nokia product, this phone is full of features that makes it a must-buy. The design team of Nokia has attempted to bring the Nokia N9 closer to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and at attempt has been made to improve the quality of the glass. So when the screen is turned off, it will look darker and it will bring it closer to the glass. On the right hand side of the phone, one can find the power key and the volume key but otherwise, the sleek chassis is free of any buttons. But the feature that has made this phone even more popular is the swipe action for navigation. This means that there is no physical home button and the phone has to be swiped instead. On the top of the Nokia N9, you can find a pop up tray that can hold the SIM card and a pop up Cover to the microUSBconnector. There is also a headphone jack but the phone does not have a microSDslot becauseit is available in 16gb to 64gb variants. The SIM card placement is a nice touch as it brings Nokia head to head with Apple in the SIM club. A unique difference in this particular smart phone is the presence of the VGA camera in front which is on the bottom of the phone and it will be interesting to see how it can be used in day to day life. The phone can fit rather nicely in the palm of your hand becausethe back of the phone is ‘pillowed’ which is the Nokia N9 trademark. Some natty Carl Zeiss optics is used by Nokia N9 to cover the dual LED powered 8 mega pixel camera. In comparison to other smart phones in the market, the camera is more centrally positioned on the back which makes it easy to hold the phone for taking some snaps. Moreover, to improve the quality of the pictures, the physical camera key has been replaced by the touch key.
The phone is completely irresistible becauseof its unique design and its absolutely Impeccable proportions make the phone even more desirable. It has a tapered end and a thickness of about 12.1 mm or 0.48 inches. What’s phenomenal is the 3.9-inch FWVGA(854x480) AMOLEDdisplay. The experience becomeseven more refined and text and graphics appear to float on the screen. The Nokia N9 maintains the classand elegance which Nokia is famous for and still brings a touch of newness.
