A thriving partnership Marling School and Stroud High School are two highly successful 11 to 18 schools working in partnership to provide a unique Sixth Form experience. Together, we offer a vibrant and friendly academic environment in which students are challenged and supported to enable them to achieve great success. Subjects are taught by teachers from each school and the two schools share an outstanding Sixth Form Centre with its own cafĂŠ and study facilities.

Driving ambition Our students are ambitious young people who strive to achieve their personal best. The collaboration of two schools supports this by enabling us to offer over 30 different subject choices at A Level. Access to exceptional teaching ensures that our students’ ambitions are realised, and they leave our Sixth Form with outstanding qualifications and the skills and confidence to question and challenge what they see and hear.

Leadership and responsibility Students in the Sixth Form have many opportunities to develop their leadership skills and take on responsibility. The Sixth Form leadership team, council and social committees are key organisations in the Sixth Form and students across both schools arrange charity fundraising events, mentor younger students and lead a huge variety of clubs, societies and events.

Building confidence Life in the Sixth Form allows our students to grow as individuals and develop their confidence at their own pace. Both schools provide support, care, guidance and a team of dedicated staff to help each individual complete their journey through the Sixth Form.

Preparing for the future Both schools provide an excellent programme of careers advice and guidance. Our superb links with industry professionals, speakers and tutors provides a rich source of advice for career paths, university applications, entrance exams and interviews. Each year we have representatives from business, industry and over 30 universities attending our Futures event and we hold talks for visiting speakers from US and European Universities. The vast majority of our Sixth Form go on to secure a place at their chosen university while others leave to take up places at Art College, Higher Apprenticeships or the work place.

Lifelong friendships Whether joining from Marling School, Stroud High School or from another school everyone is new to the Sixth Form. Helping all students to get to know each other and to settle into the demands of A Level study is a key priority for us. Our induction programme ensures that everyone feels welcome and students are well supported by teachers, tutors and our Sixth Form teams. The Sixth Form is a warm and welcoming environment where friendships that are forged will last a lifetime.
