Community Service & Volunteering Program Lake Tuggeranong College considers community service and volunteering to be an important component of citizenship development in our students. As such, it plays a part in our College Life model. Students can gain valuable insight into our community by giving their own time to the support of others. The range of opportunities for Community Service and Volunteering are diverse – eg storytelling in childcare centres; Lifeline Bookfair; Breakfast Club; supporting our local primary schools; charity fundraising etc. Volunteering gives students the opportunity to practice important skills used in the workplace, such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, project planning, task management, and organisation. These programs are coordinated by a School Leader C, and are publicised throughout the school year.
