Welcome Dear friends, IBIC is the conference for beam instrumentation and diagnostics of particle accelerators. It is the yearly International conference where experts from all over the world -including universities, research institutes and facilities- meet to discuss the latest developments in the field. Developments which range from new physics effects for detecting particle properties up to new engineering concepts. IBIC2016 will be in Barcelona, in the World Trade Center, dates 11th-15th September 2016, organized by the synchrotron ALBA. Committees and Topics Topics IBIC is dedicated to exploring the physics and engineering challenges of beam diagnostic and measurement techniques for particle accelerators worldwide. The conference program will include tutorials on selected topics, invited and selected talks, as well as poster sessions that will cover the following topics: Overview and Commissioning Beam instrumentation at new facilities, commissioning results BPMs and Beam Stability Beam Position Monitors (for electron/hadron/photon beam, both electronics and pickups), orbit/trajectory feedback systems, bunch-by-bunch or intra train feedback systems Time Resolved Diagnostics and Synchronization Streak camera, transverse deflecting cavity, cavity based arrival time, fibre based timing distribution Beam Loss Detection Scintillator (both bulk or fibre) and PMT, ion chambers, electronics detectors (PIN, FET etc) Transverse Profile Monitors Screens (fluorescent and OTR), wire scanners (physical or laser), synchrotron radiation monitors (visible and x-rays, imaging and interference techniques), Ionization Profile Monitors (IPMs for hadron colliders) Charge Monitors and Other Instruments Current Transformers, Faraday cups, wall current monitors; also all other instruments and measurement procedures not part of other categories Machine Parameter Measurements Procedures and systems like betatron tune measurement, chromaticity measurement, luminosity monitors, beam-beam diagnostics, precise measurement of optics

Venue and General Information Barcelona: Welcoming city Barcelona is a dynamic, welcoming city and one of the major economic and business centers of the Mediterranean Europe. The Catalan capital has a modern hotel infrastructure and boasts first rate shops and leisure, cultural and tourist attractions; all these traits have made Barcelona a firstclass tourist destination, and the ideal place for meetings and congresses.

World Trade Center The International Beam Instrumentation Conference will be held in the World Trade Center of Barcelona. This meeting centre comprises a total of 4,000m2 of versatile, adaptable spaces bathed in Mediterranean light. It offers a wide space for commercial, cultural and scientific events with all the necessary technical facilities. Located in downtown Barcelona, it allows easy access to all historical and tourist attractions, hotels and shopping areas.

Payment terms

• 50% of the total amount as a confirmation of the reservation. • 50% remaining will be paid before May 15th, 2016. If the exhibitor does not comply with these terms, the organizers may cancel the reserved space and rent it to another exhibitor without being obliged to reimburse the deposit.

Cancellation policy • From the organizers: The organizers may modify or cancel the exhibition if unforeseen circumstances occur. In the event of a cancellation, the organizers will reimburse the exhibitor. • From the exhibitor: In the event that the exhibitor chooses to withdraw from the conference, the exhibitor must notify the organizers in writing. Reimbursement for cancellations: • For cancellations before 15 April, 2016 - 100% of the total amount will be reimbursed. • For cancellations after 16 April, 2016 - No reimbursement will be made.
