STAR Erasmus Consulting STAR Erasmus Consulting (SEC) is a committee of STAR, the study association of Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) at Erasmus University. SEC offers profit and non-profit organizations tailor-made research and consultancy services. These services are carried out in the company’s selected country at cost price, provided by motivated RSM students who are carefully chosen by the SEC Board.

Our mission is to offer high quality professional consultancy solutions to organizations who want to expand or improve their international business.
We offer an exceptional chance for students to conduct professional consultancy work for orginizations in foreign countries.
Our research is executed by an internationally oriented team from RSM and is supported by professional consulting firms, like Accenture.
Students develop themselves on a personal level and develop professional consultancy skills, while creating impact, building a social network and gaining meaningfull work field experience.
Long-term relationships Form a long-term relationship with SEC to make sure your company is first in line for a consultancy project. SEC created a pool of long-term partners. Joining the pool gives you flexibility and continuous interaction with SEC. Together we aim to find the best time for your company to join the project. Joining the long-term pool can mean two different things. Either the timing was not right in the past but your company want to be first in line for a consultancy project another year or your company already worked with SEC and want the opportunity to work togheter again. This way, the conducted research can be deepened, broadened or expanded in order to provide the best and most up-to-date advice for your organization. The relationship between the company and SEC will be maintained and proved to be valuable throughout the years.
Our pillars Quality The project is part of Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), which is ranked in the top 1% business school worldwide. Hence, our students and resources assure the highest professional standards. Additionally, we recruit master and bachelor students with relevant expertise.
Experience With 36 years of experience, the SEC has successfully advised over 200 companies in expansion to emerging economies. We have worked with organizations of all sizes and industries, including Philips, DSM and ING.
Support The supervisors and consultants are trained and supervised by professional firms such as Accenture. Furthermore, they are supported by the Advisory Board and the Supervisory Board of STAR. Next to this, we work closely together with alumni and other full-time committees.
