MESSAGE FROM ACTING HEAD
Mr Gavin Ryan
The end of term always brings with it a spectrum of emotions and the end of the academic year can be even more so. There is so much to be thankful for here at Ripley and this Court Circular presents so many examples. This term has been full of opportunities to grow and develop, laugh, experience challenges and countless chances to look up and interact with our rich community.
I wanted to highlight our most recent success by being shortlisted for the Independent school of the year award (in the well being category). Our badge will begin to appear on emails in due course.
Thank you for your ongoing support, especially this term, and I wish you all a wonderful summer holiday. I look forward to welcoming you back in September when we will continue to learn, develop and achieve great and amazing things together.

CALLING ALL CYCLISTS

Did you know? Ripley was once the most famous place on the planet for cycling .
The latest exhibition at the Ripley Museum is called RIPLEY - WORLD FAMOUS AS THE 'MECCA FOR ALL GOOD CYCLISTS'. It traces the origin of the so called Ripley Road which was, in fact part of the Portsmouth Road between Ditton and Ripley. The cycling craze from 1870 -1900 brought thousands of cyclists into Ripley and in particular to the Anchor Pub and the hospitality of the Dibble family. It features the memorials in Ripley church and the 'spin offs' of the craze such as the Anchor Visitor books, a Ripley board game featuring the Anchor. The Anchor are supporting the exhibition with a free draw for lunch for 2 in their restaurant.
