Through out history the triangle has been known as a strong geometric shape. In ancient times a pyramid was meant to symbolize the “Journey or reach of humankind to the gods. The building is made up of four geometries alluding to pyramids, which create a procession. The chapel is surrounded by water to cleanse the people entering. The main chapel space does not touch at the tip to symbolize the gap between the earth and the heavens. The second chapel space surrounded by water is a place to contemplate alone, with the sound of water running down to clear your thoughts. The third chapel space, located in the park, is meant for contemplation and written intentions. The written intentions are placed in t h e w a l l o n c e t h e p e r s o n h a s c o m p l e t e d t h e i r j o u r n e y.

This project proposes to Simulate the spatial experience of the original imperial form. While focusing on the recreation of the experience, the project also provides a preservation of the remaining ruins of the Piazza D’ Oro. The goal of the project is to provide a temporary structure that will place minimal contact with the existing site. Through various studies, the temporary structures reinterpret the Roman form while maintaining t h e o v e r a l l s p a t i a l q u a l i t y.
