INTRODUCTION

A NEW BRANDING INITIATIVE This manual is part of the Marist Athletics Department brand management initiative. The intent is to give vendors the necessary tools to develop a quality product that fits within our branding mission and, in turn, is one that our college, student-athletes, coaches, administrators, parents, alumni and fans are proud of. Marist Athletics has a proud tradition of success on the field, in the classroom and throughout the community. In order to develop a consistent look and build a stronger Marist brand, the Marist Athletics Department worked with Phoenix Design Works in New York City to develop a new brand identity. In addition to strengthening the Marist brand, this initiative offers current and potential vendors more options and opportunities to create Marist merchandise. All of the logo marks contained within the following pages were designed exclusively for the Marist Athletics Department and for those entities that have been given permission to use them. This manual is designed to answer questions and present a template for the appropriate use of the Marist Athletics marks. Items included under this policy include but are not limited to: uniforms, warm-ups, practice gear, travel gear, camp gear, publications, equipment and business items. The Marist Athletics Department does not allow these marks to be altered in any way, and all logo applications must be supplied to the Marist College Associate Athletics Director for authorization and approval. All logo art is supplied for the official reproduction of Marist College property only by the media, licensed manufacturers, sponsors and their advertising agencies for the purpose of planning and executing product, promotion, advertising, packaging and display materials relating to and in support of Marist College. All logo marks are the property of Marist College and may be used with written permission only. These marks cannot be altered in any way. Please contact the Marist Athletics Department with any and all questions regarding usage. Logo marks contained in this publication are trademarks of Marist College, 2008. Thank you for assisting the Marist College Athletics Department in presenting a quality product and developing a first-class look for our college, student-athletes, coaches, administrators, parents, alumni and fans.

COLORS The official Marist Athletics colors are Red (PMS 186, coated) and White. The single PMS ink is for use outside of the traditional four-color printing process. There are times when the color of “Marist Red” will need to be created using the four printing inks (CMYK: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black), or the three colors of the Web (RGB: Red, Green, and Blue). The breakdown for Marist Red and White in these other colorspaces are as follows:

PANTONE 186 C CMYK (4-color Process) Cyan (C): 0 Magents (M): 100 Yellow (Y): 81 Black (K): 4
