Having spent most of his working life as a graphic designer, Steve Parker is now concentrating on developing his love of photography. In his early years, Steve utilised his natural aptitude for art and design and found himself working alongside architects, planners and urban designers producing technical literature and graphics for urban development projects in the UK and overseas.

This grounding was the foundation for a 35-year career as a commercial graphic designer.

Steve now focuses on expressing his art through the lens of a camera. Using natural and urban habitats as his canvas, Steve’s photographs are fuelled by his graphic sense of colour, shape and texture. The juxtaposition of large and small, dark and light, and an appetite for the quirky, feature prominently in much of his work. Other projects have included stage and film set stills, lifestyle and street photography.
