IMPROVED HYDRAULIC ASSISTED SPRAY CONTROL The trigger on these guns operate in two positions. Pulling the trigger gently toward the operator opens an air valve to spray catalyzed resin alone. Additional force moves the trigger into its second position to activate the fiberglass chopper. Because it is highly responsive, the trigger provides the operator with enough control to spray even very small parts.

Compatible with all Magnum Venus Products hydraulic injection system (H.I.S.) equipment, the Cipher, Maximus and SuperPro Gun are several tools in one. Depending on the configuration, they will spray catalyzed resin; a mixture of chopped fiberglass and catalyzed resin; or gelcoat. The Cipher and SuperPro are even ideal for RTM resin injection. Conversion between setups is fast and uncomplicated. EASY MAINTENANCE WITH RAPID ACCESS DESIGN (R.A.D.) The Cipher and Maximus feature the new modular rapid access design which not only enhances their versatility – it makes disassembly for cleaning and maintenance as easy as 1-2-3. The push-button flush system is also easy on the operator. Material flows directly through the resin port to the mix chamber during flushing so no residual resin is left to gel overnight.

F.I.T.® REPORTS LOWEST EMISSION FACTOR For more details visit or call 0871 8732404 Independent tests have demonstrated Magnum Venus Products as the leader in innovative, price-conscious solutions to VOC emissions. The introduction of F.I.T., using the H.I.S. pumping system, dramatically reduces styrene emissions by reducing atomization and allowing fiberglass operations to address regional and national styrene regulations with a cost-effective solution. In a recent independent test conducted by order of a state environmental agency in the United States, emission factors as low as 2.2% were reported for an FRP manufacturer using the newly patent issued Fluid Impingement Technology (F.I.T.). The state required the manufacturer to conduct independent tests measuring styrene emissions for conformance to EPA standards. The manufacturer produces large UST parts using polyester resins that contain liquid styrene monomer. The test was conducted on the production of four different underground storage tanks ranging from an 8’ - 10’ diameter mold, utilizing four complete MVP SuperFIT units with 3:1 pump. This stack test determined the styrene emission rates from four different UST molding stations on two consecutive days in April of 2001. The calculations showed the quantity of styrene emitted per pound of styrene monomer consumed, and the quantity of styrene emitted per pound of raw resin consumed. The test method employed was the revised EPA Method 18, incorporating NIOSH Method 1501 absorption tube collection, and the new dual train “spiked” and “unspiked” recovery factor procedures. In general, the Method 18 approach used standard procedures to measure the exhaust stack flow rates with a pitot tube/manometer combination. Magnum Venus Products offers various options for automating the chop & spray process. These special guns take full advantage of modern automation and robotics technology. Their basic assembly consists of a gun mix chamber and a streamlined automatic gun block. A double-acting cylinder, attached to a gun block, replaces the handle and trigger. Air is applied to the front of the cylinder to trigger spraying and flushing. For automatic chopping, an optional strand drop sensor is available to help ensure efficient operation of the automatic guns. This sensor system monitors glass strands and shuts down immediately if glass breaks, tangles or runs out. Automatic guns also can be built with an optional remote control box that has separate triggers to actuate spraying, chopping and flushing. The Automatic Pro Gun™, mounted onto a robot arm, is exceptionally lightweight and still accommodates the two-strand chopper to maintain standard production volumes. By adding an air cylinder to the classic ’80 Gun, we made the remotely triggered Automatic ’80 model. Finally, for automatic production of extra heavy volumes, an air cylinder can be added to our High-Volume Gun Head, which accommodates the 4-Strand and 6-Strand Choppers. (This High-Volume Gun Head can also be attached to a handle for manual output of heavy volumes.)
