GENERATIONS Sea Ray owner rediscovers the boating lifestyle with her family. By Sue Rodman

ith her five-year-old daughter asleep in the backseat, Laura Jean Vonn practiced backing the trailer of her Sea Ray 1995 200Br in and out of the water under the careful tutelage of MarineMax sales consultant Roger Duffee. Newly divorced, Vonn was fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning a boat. “I was all set to sign the papers and I stopped, looked at Roger and said - if I do this, will you teach me, because I’ve never driven a boat,” said Vonn. “He laughed and

the next thing I knew we were at the 360 Bridge and boat ramp on Lake Austin, and I was learning how to get my boat in and out of the water.” That was almost twenty years ago, Vonn’s daughter Amy now has a child of her own. Some of her best memories were made on the lake and she wants to share the boating lifestyle with her daughter as she grows up. That got Vonn thinking. It had been several years since she had a boat. She had sold her last Sea Ray, a 24 foot 220 Sundeck, when life got busy
