Adjacent to the National Museum of the Marine Corps, a place of remembrance and re ection, Semper Fidelis Memorial Park is dedicated to the service of all Marines. The Park is an important part of the Museum visitor’s experience that provides a more personal look at the history of the Marine Corps and those that have served. Interwoven paths cross and meet at signi cant rally points where monuments honor various Marines or Marine Corps units and provide a place for visitors to pause and contemplate.
In addition to benches, plaques, and monuments, 45,000 commemorative engraved bricks line the paths throughout Semper Fidelis Memorial Park. These bricks are used to honor members from all US services as well as family and friends attesting to the honor, courage, and commitment that embodies the Marine Corps.
The Park provides visitors with three scenic overlooks, the Timothy T. Day Overlook, the Patrick F. Taylor Overlook and the Chesty Puller Overlook. These overlooks welcome visitors at di erent points around the park, providing quiet, peaceful areas for re ection and remembrance.
Semper Fidelis Memorial Park includes 2.5 miles of trails. The ADA compliant pathways provide additional access to Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel and the southern section of the Old Kings Highway, as well as Prince William County Park Authority’s Locust Shade Park.
