Coffee with a Diplomat 07.02.2014 February is known as Black
History Month. The American Corner hosted the diplomat Amber Boyd-Eiholzer for a Coffee with a Diplomat where she spoke with guests about civil rights, the history of the African-Americans and their situation today.
AC Stip and the Library " Goce Delcev" in Stip welcomed more than 50 book lovers. The event celebrated February as a Library Lovers' Month. Many books were given for free to the visitors and many of them had a chance to follow some wonderful videos about the best libraries in the world and the importance of the libraries for the community!
“African-Americans who contributed to society” 26.02.2014 On February 26th, PCV Grace Mukupa attended the American Corner in Stip and held a presentation about “AfricanAmerican who contributed to society”. This presentation was held in honor of Black History Month. Several AC members attended the presentation and were interested in finding out a bit more about the history of African-Americans and their ups and downs through the history.
Interesting facts about US Presidents 27.02.2014
On Thursday, February 27th, AC Intern, Marjan Sarashov, held a presentation about some of the most interesting facts about US Presidents. The accent was on 4 of them – George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, since February is the month when their birthdays are, John Kennedy and Barack Obama.
