Oh yeah! If there's one thing you can count on, it's that there will always be some amazing weight loss secrets for sale. It seems as though not a single day can go by without a fad diet or two being thrust upon the general public. It's at this point that most people will tell you that none of those diets work, and that it's impossible to lose weight; however that's not entirely accurate, as you will see.

There really are weight loss secrets, or at least some things that aren't common knowledge. In fact, there are so many tips for losing weight, that it wouldn't be practical to list all of them here. That being said, use the following “secrets� to help shed a few extra pounds, but think of the as a starting point, not the finish line. The more tips and tricks you track down and implement, the more weight you can potentially lose.

Here are a few tips that have been gleaned from a few of the better diet plans currently available:

1. Eat more fat. It wasn't all that long ago that people tried to cut as much fat as possible from their daily diet. The thinking was that since fat is calorie-dense, eliminating it would cause people to lose weight. However, the low-fat diets had one major problem–they didn't work. New research has shown that eating the right kind of fat can help you to lose weight. The weight loss secrets to remember here are that polyunsaturated, monounsaturated, and omega-3 fatty acids


are good for you. They aren't only healthy, but they help to fill you up so you end up eating less overall.

2. Spice things up! Eating spicy foods seems to have a positive impact on metabolism. While the reason for this isn't yet completely understood, many people have an easier time losing weight when they eat spicy foods such as chilies, peppers, mustard, and various spices.

3. The truth about water. Conventional wisdom states that you should drink at least 64 ounces of water each day if you want to lose weight. However, recent studies have shown that drinking a lot of water actually doesn't do all that much from shedding excess weight. It's still important to drink plenty of water, just don't use it as an excuse to avoid a healthy diet and exercise program.

4. Fill up on fiber. This is one of the oldest weight loss secrets, but it still works like magic today. Fiber (what your grandparents referred to as 'roughage') takes longer to digest so it helps you to feel and boosts your metabolism at the same time. Fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains are some of the best sources of fiber.

These weight loss secrets are only the beginning, but they will only work if you take action. Even the smallest step in the right direction will get you on the path to a healthier and happier new you.
