Liquid Graphite Drawing Ready to take your drawings to a new level! Join us at the Mariemont Barn for a fun experimental class featuring the use of water-soluble graphite in pencil, stick, disk and powdered form. Music Improv Class America’s musical contribution to the world is jazz! Learn to communicate in the same language as legends like Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker and more! Must be able to play an instrument, but all instruments welcome! *Also offered as a The Global Learners Expedition

Multiple Media Drawing Do you love art? This Expedition will allow you an introduction into four of the primary drawing mediums, one each week: Graphite, Charcoal, Conte Pencil and Carbon Pencil. Pinhole Photography Turn a closet into a darkroom, and make a camera out of a shoebox in this Expedition. You’ll learn about contrast and composition on the art side, and the exposure, chemicals and developing process on the science side. Take your own pictures with your hand-made shoebox camera.

Rock Band Have an interest in learning to play traditional rock band instruments (guitar, bass, piano, drums, maybe even sing)? This is the place for you. Join the School of Rock to learn, practice and even perform your latest #1 hit! No experience necessary, although skill on these instruments is definitely welcome. Modeled off the very popular Rock Band Master Class at Mariemont High School.
