Inspired by the systematic human body, this piece takes its vertical shape and expresses itself as a composition of parts. Tectonic systems of more fragile materials articulate the most massive organizing armature which acts as a spine directing and holding together its components. The distinct spaces nested within this vertical shell serve their function and shape each programmatic level of activity while merging together to serve a common purpose for the dancer. Each space was disected and assigned a characteristic defined by the actions meant to take place within, then synthesized into an elegant coordination of rhythmic structure.
