EMERGING LEADERS Emerging Leaders is a year-long program running from February through December. The purpose of the Emerging Leaders program is to... Share the impact of Valleywise Health as our public teaching health system in the community. Create access to education in philanthropy for diverse young professionals. Offer experienced mentorship that creates pathways for personal and professional growth and community leadership. Each month, mentees and mentors engage in professional development sessions and one-on-one mentoring. Topics such as Uncover Your Purpose, Find Your Tribe, Fear Setting and Leading Diverse Teams will be explored with inspiring guest speakers and foster engagement from the entire Emerging Leaders program. These sessions will prepare the mentees to present their community engagement projects.

"We have to find innovative ways in this digital age to inspire philanthropy, volunteerism and community involvement for generations to come." Liz Agboola

of leadership, philanthropy, personal and professional growth. Then, they will put their knowledge to the test! In September, each group of mentees will present their project idea to raise funds and awareness for Valleywise Health Foundation to the entire Emerging Leaders program. This idea requires research, an execution plan and strategy to achieve the project scope. At the Emerging Leaders Exhibition, a “Shark Tank” style competition, judges will select the best community engagement project supporting Valleywise Health. The winning group will receive funding to implement their project plan. All Emerging Leaders will work together to execute the winning project.
