R EST Wood and modell structure in the nature of Småland The assignment of the Wood Project was to get to know the material wood as a constructive tool and tectonic material. The little wooden house REST is a resting place for people traveling by foot or by canoe through the woods of Småland in Sweden. Here you can have a night rest during winter or summertime with the beautiful view over the water. REST is built with solid pine timber, combined together with dovetail joints. FURNITURE

27

I L L US I O N Architectural Design Process and Prototypes The aim with the course Architectural Design Process and Prototype were to produce one or a few furniture in full scale and investigate the made furniture piece and it’s meaning. When does a chair cease to be just a chair? Is a chair still a chair if it’s form and design is constantly evolving? Illusion is a series of furniture created only in cotton thread and wallpaper paste. My furnitures took its output in philosopher Hannah Arrendts theories of our society, consumption and living habits. By creating a kind of “Anti-Furniture” that during the upcoming exhibition would change shape from day to day. I wanted to highlight what a chair is, and for how long time we still define it as a furniture object.
