Nursing Programs for Adult and Graduate Learners

An inspired Wisconsin is where you live, where you work, where your heart is, and like us it is where your professional dreams have taken root. Our programs are designed for residents who want to take their careers to impressive new heights. We know the nursing field in Wisconsin because our faculty, students, and graduates have helped shape the state’s nursing landscape. It’s who we are. And it’s who you are. Consider: •

We are a long-time Wisconsin leader in helping RN’s achieve their education and career goals. We have been educating adult learners for more than 75 years.

As your neighbor, Marian is local, connected, and respected — employers know us and trust our graduates.

We offer you convenient learning centers in your neighborhood — Appleton, Fond du Lac, Madison, and West Allis.

Our programs were created with input from top nurses at leading Wisconsin health care facilities.

Who is it for? Through innovative structuring, registered nurses prepared with an associate degree in nursing or a nursing diploma may complete a MSN degree. The streamlined program of study provides RNs with the options to earn a master’s degree in less time than it would take to earn a BSN degree followed by a MSN degree. Registered nurses who desire only a BSN degree have the option to earn that degree and exit the program.

Delivery The RN-MSN program is delivered in a highly convenient format for working adults at neighborhood locations near you. •

Courses are conducted in a variety of delivery platforms: face-to-face, online, or hybrid.

Face-to-face classes meet in the evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Appleton, Fond du Lac, Madison, and West Allis.

Classes meet two evenings a week: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday — depending on location.

Students proceed through the program in a cohort model.

Cohorts start times and locations vary throughout the year.

Master of Science in Nursing — Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner — Nurse Educator

Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education (Online plus one teaching practicum)

Who is it for? The Master of Science in Nursing is for nurses who have at least 1 year of nursing experience, a bachelor degree in nursing, and who strive to become a NURSE EDUCATOR or ADULT GERONTOLOGY NURSE PRACTITIONER. This program attracts students from multiple areas of nursing. The program is designed to develop your essential skills for success by focusing on enhancing and growing your current knowledge through integrated studies in health care systems, pharmacology, and hands on practicums. This will assist you in developing the integral skills that embody a wellrounded graduate. Instructors have significant real-world nursing experience and they share those experiences with you.

Delivery Students enter together and continue through the program as a group. The cohort is designed with a strong focus on collaboration and team work — the way nursing functions today. •
