Notas de la directora Los cuerpos desnudos de una mujer y un hombre derrumbados, sentados en el piso con sus cabezas gachas, sus sexos expuestos, inertes, sin energía. Esa fue la primera imagen que me vino a la mente al concebir esta película. Una pareja que se separa, dos cuerpos que intentan por última vez amarse, pero fracasan. Basada en mi experiencia, la película es una exploración cruda y minimalista de lo privado, la maravilla de la vida ordinaria y cotidiana, que quiere retratar ese instante de intimidad final de una pareja que se rompe.
Director’s statement The naked bodies of a woman and a man, collapsed, sitting on the floor with their heads hanging, their sexes exposed, devastated, inert, without energy. This is the first image that came to me when conceiving this film. A couple that is separating, two bodies that try to love each other for the last time, but fail. Based on my own experience, The Bed is a raw, minimalist and realistic exploration of the private and the intimate, the wonder of ordinary daily life. The intention is to portray that final instant of intimacy of a couple breaking up.
