Puerto
Rico.
Puerto Ricans are known for their warm hospitality, often considered very friendly and expressive. However, Ponce lacks of certain spaces where culture and social interactions merge. The design of this pavilion intends to activate and improve the quality of the street life along the city centre. A wide range of public spaces is provided to tourists and neighbors, filling the urban gaps or `waste spaces'.

SITE The first site chosen is near the Cathedral and main square of Ponce. It is high pedestrian activity area, but it lacks of two necessities: tourist information and neighbors meeting place. In order to make the intervention visible and activate the street, we choose two plots, one in front of the other, and the design takes over the street through a continuous and changing roof.

The posibility of enlargement is thought in a horizontal sense. The roof is specially designed in the edges to allow the posibility of continuing the structure.
