A Strategic Plan for Maret 2025

Advancing with Purpose

SIX STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

1. Empower Every Learner

2. Redefine Educational Excellence

3. Center Belonging

4. Inspire Exceptional Teaching

5. Invest in a Future-Ready Campus

6. Grow Our Fiscal Capacity

OUR VISION

We provide a transformative education to build a better world, one student at a time.

At Maret, each student is encouraged to develop their interests, passions, and strengths in order to meet their own purpose in the world. Through this transformative process, they learn essential skills and gain an understanding of who they are and who they can become. In this way, the school pursues a better world—one in which students are engaged with courage, purpose, and joy.

OUR PLAN

This strategic plan prioritizes the delivery of leading-edge programs and exceptional instruction in ways that honor our students’ individual journeys.

Each learner is unique, but all students need a relevant and robust educational foundation that will empower them to thrive in a global landscape of increasing complexity and rapid technological change.

We believe that students’ well-being and sense of belonging are vital to their learning, growth, and success.

We will sustain the equitable, inclusive, and joyful learning environment that is a hallmark of a Maret education and that stirs our students to lead connected and consequential lives.

Leading Maret into the future includes nurturing our outstanding faculty.

They are the dedicated experts who spark our students’ curiosity, challenge them to grow, teach them essential skills, celebrate their successes, and support them every day. We will focus on their well-being and provide them with new opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and grow throughout their careers.

Investing in our campus and continuing to strengthen the school’s financial base are important goals of the plan.

We have a beautiful and historic campus in Woodley Park and a new athletic facility just up the road. We will use our space and place in the city to inspire learning and accommodate our evolving programs now and for the next generation. As responsible stewards of the school, we will align our financial planning with our educational goals and champion the mission and vision of the school.
