We Lost Everything “We’ve lost everything” was all we could think “Everything we’ve ever owned, all gone in a blink.” It all happened so quickly, with no time to prepare Shocked by complete chaos- all I could do was stare I watched as darkness consumed my whole world My past and my future disappearing- in one moment it all whorled I couldn’t see clearly, I could do nothing but worry But after some time I saw along with that comes only fury Upon this awakening I saw I was not robbed in entirety: I just had to reassess what was my priority For I know love and hope can never be taken And now, for forever, my world can never be shaken.

Red Red used to be my favorite color, צבע אדום,צבע אדום Now, those two small words are what scare me most. When I hear them, I don’t think, I RUN! I run for my life! And before I know it I’m in a bomb shelter Surrounded by scared people just like myself, Who live with this horror every day of our lives. I pray for the day when this will no longer be my reality.
