September 2010

Volume 1, Issue 3

Newsle!er

We woke up this morning and realized that it was already October - September has just flown by or rather run by. At the beginning of the month we ran in Basel followed by the Greifensee half marathon and finally the Berlin marathon. All this running is a good analogy for the month. We have had the most new people starting to take courses with us this September as well. So we’d like to thank all of our partners and students for your continued support.

Our first Wine & Dine event at Casa Gabriella in Meilen was a big success and we’d like to thank Egidio, Jrma and Beate again for their wonderful service. Also a big thank you to Andreas Nittnaus, who came all the way from Burgenland for the event. And finally to all the guests. It was very nice to meet so many new people. If you would like to order wines from Nelly, Matthias and Andreas Nittnaus, please contact us for an order form as soon as possible. For those who have ordered the wines are on their way. Our Facebook and Twitter pages are continuing to find new followers as well. Please feel free to use these as forums for conversation and sharing ideas with others. If you have events coming up or are looking for something, please post or let us know via e-mail and we will post it for you.

News:

We are busy planning three Wine & Dine events with Soif & Thirst for November. Soif & Thirst imports some of the finest and mostly highly rated wines from New Zealand and Australia. More information to come. For those of you interested in art, Michelle Bird is offering studio tours in Winterthur. Working together with Michelle, we’ll be offering studio tours in German for learners of German. More info (http://www.meetup.com/Winterthur-ArtTour/) At the end of October is the 4th Annual Lucerne Marathon. We’ll be there running, so if you’re in the area we’d love to hear your cheering. If you are looking for Switzerland’s best city marathon, you have to run here: 10KM, Half or Full.

Wie ist es unter diesen Bedingungen möglich herauszufinden, welcher der 3 Schalter mit der Glühbirne, an der Decke des Estrichs, verbunden ist. Erdgeschoss, das : ground floor Schalter, der : switch Estrich, der : attic Bedingung, die : condition, constraint, term Glühbirne, die : light bulb We would also like to congratulate the winners of the Startups.ch prize for new company of the year. The big winners — Aeon Scientific — are developing technology to help make eye surgery easier and less intrusive for people. The ladies behind My Little Black Dress, with a shop in Zurich must also be congratulated for their hard work and original designs. From October 8 - 11 is the Gourmesse in Zurich. A great opportunity to taste great food and wine. ExpoVina on the boats at Bürkliplatz is also quickly approaching. We will be giving away some free entries, so stay tuned for ways to get your hands on them.

Just a reminder that 2010 is the “the year of hiking” so take advantage of the nice October weather and discover Switzerland’s natural beauty.
