2017 Spring Semester

Athletes New Student Athletes – New student athletes specifically invited by the basketball coaches to join the teams need to take care of the following: 1) Contact the Athletic Office at the following email address: The Athletic Office will send out the necessary links for the athlete participation forms and check on your eligibility. Athletes who wish to participate in intercollegiate athletics must provide proof of insurance (these forms are in the athlete participation forms). Insurance purchased through the school does not cover athletic participation. Please contact the Athletic Office for more information or with questions. 2) Student athletes must have been accepted and registered for 12 or more credit hours. They must have all their athletic forms complete including proof of insurance before they will be allowed to participate in practice. All Athletes can move into the dorms after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1. The women will need to move into Gould and the men will need to move into Leland. The first meal provided for the Men’s team is Monday breakfast. The first meal for the women’s team is Monday dinner.

New Students Opening of Residence Halls – Residence Halls for new students will open at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9. New students will get their welcome packet and dorm assignment at the Welcome Center located in the Dining Complex. If travel arrangements require you to arrive on Sunday afternoon or evening, please contact the Student Life Office at 920-206-2332 during normal business hours to discuss your options. First Meals – New students will be provided free meal tickets for Monday lunch and dinner on January 9. Resident students on the meal plan will have their student I.D. card in time for Tuesday breakfast. Parents attending registration and the New Student Orientation Meeting with their student will also be provided free meal tickets for the Monday lunch and dinner. Residual Registration – Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 9, for those new students who have not yet completed the registration process. There is a $50 fine for registering after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9. Classes begin at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10. Welcome Meeting/New Student Orientation – All new students (freshmen, transfer, and transition from online/bridge center to main campus) are required to attend the Welcome Meeting/New Student Orientation from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9 in DC202. Parents are also invited to attend along with their student.

All Students Dress and Conduct – All college policies are in effect at the time you arrive on campus. Dress code for all registration events is class casual. All policy information is in the Student Life Handbook and can be found at

All Students continued… Employment – Current job openings are located at Please apply online. If you’re offered a position, W-4 and I-9 forms must be completed. The originals of the government-approved identification documents must be presented for completion of the I-9. The form can be found here: Please take a look at the list on page 9 of the form and bring the required ID with you to campus. If you have a passport, that’s all you would need. If not, please bring one item on list B plus one from list C; for example, your driver’s license and Social Security card. End of Semester – Final exams are held May 1-3 in the open format. Students not involved in commencement activities may leave campus after their last final exam is complete. Some students (e.g., campus employees) are required to stay through Commencement on May 5. Financial Aid – Have you applied for financial aid? If not, please complete the 2016-17 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at Apply for Maranatha scholarships at Contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions at 920-206-2318 or email Medical Insurance – All students are required to carry minimal health insurance coverage. Music Involvement – For those wishing to participate in band, orchestra, or choir, please register accordingly: FIMP291: Symphonic Band / FIMP280: Orchestra / FIMP206: Maranatha Chorale. Spring Recess begins after classes on Friday, March 17. Classes resume at 7:15 a.m., Monday, March 27. Dorms open at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, for students returning from spring recess. If you must return earlier you will be required to stay in the spring break dorm. Class cuts are not permitted two days before and after spring break. Transportation – Direct shuttle service to/from the Madison/Milwaukee airport or train station can be provided by MBU ($50 per person, one way). Students can also be shuttled from the airport to the Johnson Creek Outlet Mall by Badger Coach. The cost for Badger Coach is $20.00 and is booked online or by credit card at the airport. The charge for Maranatha’s shuttle service from the Outlet Mall to the campus is $8. You must make all shuttle arrangements with the Welcome Center at 920206-2370 at least one week prior to your need. Off-campus students must register their vehicle online only if they desire to park on campus.
