Sundays Starting January 14, 6pm, The Ark Waiting Room Come and hear about topics like; “What is the Day of the Lord”? When will that Day take place?” How close are we to a “Cashless Socity?” And how does a cashless society even tie into Biblical Prophecy? What are some of the Prophecies that the Prophet Ezekiel wrote about, as it relates to the Nations of the World today? All are welcome!

CLEANSING STREAM

Mondays, 7:00pm, starting April 23rd The Fireside Room This is a proven, 5 week Discipleship Class. This is a class about deliverance. Deliverance shouldn’t only be viewed as a “once-in-a-lifetime” event, but rather as an ongoing process in our journey of faith. This course will challenge the students to make lifechanging decisions that will help guide them for their entire lives. After the 4th week, there is a province-wide Retreat where you can expect to receive greater freedom, as speakers deal with specific struggles, that have held you back in the past, with opportunity for the prayer team to pray with you for specific issues. This course is recommended for everyone, 16 yrs old and above. All Alumni are especially encouraged to RETURN for a refresher! Costs to consider are: $40 Workbook, Retreat Registration. Retreat info: Saturday, May 26, 8:00am – 6:00pm, here in the Mapleview Arena. For more information or to sign up, email signup@mapleview.church

CHRISTIANITY COMPARED TO WORLD BELIEF SYSTEMS

Thursdays 7:00pm, starting January 18 (4 weeks), The Fireside Room The main objective isn’t to know in detail every worldview. But rather to know, and understand what we believe, in order to respond with confidence when conversing with people of other worldviews. KNOWING WHAT YOU BELIEVE will help equip us in sharing and defending our faith, with boldness and confidence - 2 Timothy 4:5. For more information or to sign up, email signup@mapleview.church

THE ARMOUR OF GOD

(Ladies Bible study-Priscilla Shirer DVD) Thursdays, 7:00pm, starting March 1st The Fireside Room All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you. A cunning, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you – your emotions, your mind, your family, your future. But his reign stops right here, right now. With you. The enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. A woman who is armed and dangerous. This Bible study is more than just a Biblical description of the believer’s inventory. It is an action plan for putting on your armour and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory against the enemy. Yes. A strategy. Targeted. Specific. Precise. Detailed. Take advantage of your position in Christ and experience the tangible, long-term effects of victory in practical, everyday living. Please signup@mapleview.church so workbooks ($20) can be purchased. (Recommended but not necessary.)

IRONMEN

WARD LIFE Early in 2017 we began to implement a

dream that was birthed about 5 years ago, with the idea that in every geographical region of Barrie and area we would have a Mapleview Church representative - Ward Pastor. The intention is that individuals and families from Mapleview in each Ward would become more connected through fun activities and events done throughout the year. The Ward Life would also lend itself to individualized responses of care and compassion as needs within each Ward occur, ie. sickness, death, unemployment etc. We have since secured several Ward Pastors who have agreed to ‘lead’ their Ward. These Wards (1-10) have been created by following the geographical divisions that the City of Barrie has already created. For those who live outside of Barrie, 4 more regions have been created, North East, (NE), North West, (NW), South East, (SE), and South West, (SW). Highways 400 & 90 are the primary boundaries for these 4 quadrants. Facebook Groups have already been created, listing the 14 Wards. This page will be used as one of the primary ways of communicating information & events within that Ward as initiated by the respective Ward Pastor.

WARD LIFE NIGHT

All Wards are invited to join together at the Church for a fun filled family night. Come for some games, snacks, and maybe even some friendly competition between Wards!

WARD 7 POTLUCK AT THE CHURCH

We are asking that for those within our Mapleview Church Family to indicate their interest in being a part of their Ward activities, in 1 of 2 ways: A) Email signup@mapleview.church with your name, address or Ward you live in, B) Find the Ward that you live in, and go to your Facebook account, find the Mapleview Community Church Ward Group (1-10, NE, NW, SE, SW) and request to be a part of the Ward that you live in. We believe that the Ward Life will be foundational in connecting and building strong healthy relationships as we continue to grow as a Church. M A P L E V I E W N OW M AG A Z I N E / 10
