Dear Parents & Guardians, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your continued support of Maple Leaf Internatinal School. Since I arrived here last August, I have been in awe of the amount of support this school receives from parents. I knew that Maple Leaf had a long-standing tradition of supportive, hard-working parents; but to actually see this in action is truly heartwarming. Administrators and teachers everywhere recognize the importance of parental involvement regarding a child’s success in school. There is no question about it success at school begins at home. Parents are the single most important variable in a child’s education. One of the most important components of a successful school is the partnership between the school and parents who work together for the best interest of the students. The close partnership between home and school is one of the exceptional strengths at Maple Leaf International School. Throughout the year, parents have the opportunity to develop that partnership in a wide variety of ways. Parents join the PTA, volunteer to do tasks for the classroom, be class reps, attend School meetings and Field Trips, and attend events, for example: Christmas concert, Art exhibitions, Carnival Jump Up, Open House, just to name a few. When you are involved in some way at your child’s school, it is a way to let them know that you think their school is important and you are offering your support. We appreciate and welcome your interest in Maple Leaf International School. We will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, April 23 at 10:00 am and we invite you to encourage others who might be interested in joining the Maple Leaf community. Again, thank you for being such wonderful supporters of Maple Leaf. Have a safe and enjoyable Easter break. Debora Jones Principal
