The Office of Early Childhood Education is excited to announce its 2nd Annual Leadership Series. The three sessions are uniquely designed to bring leaders in the field of early childhood education together to share current pedagogical research and practice. Our 90 minute sessions are conveniently scheduled so that participants will engage in professional conversations in the morning and return energized to meet the demands of their daily responsibilities.

Strengthening Leadership to Improve Early Learning Outcomes

Kathleen Dunn Priestley, Early Childhood Consultant for the Association for the Children of NJ(ACNJ) and the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER), will focus on strengthening the power of early childhood education and the importance of leadership to help close the achievement gap. In this presentation, participants will gain a solid understanding of practices to ensure effective alignment and transition between early childhood and the early elementary system.
